Insurance Covered, Direct Billed IMS Therapy.
We've helped thousands of people across Beddington find pain relief, will you be one of them?
Intramuscular Stimulation (dry needling) eases "nagging" pain and muscle tightness. Relief can be felt almost immediately
Developed by Dr. Chan Gunn, IMS dry needling therapy provides long term relief for acute and chronically tight, painful muscles. Progress can be felt in as soon as the first therapy session.
Scientific evidence backed IMS therapy efficacy for chronic pain; proving its accountability to provide real, permanent relief. View Research

"...I have responded really well to [IMS] treatment..." ~ Michelle Bowyer, IMS Patient
Think of a hose. If you kink that hose, less water comes out, right? The same is true with a nerve. Your muscle spasms "kink" the flow to your nerves. The nerve then becomes malnourished.
Malnourished nerves cause palpable painful "knots" or trigger points. IMS therapy painlessly targets the affected area, releasing it almost immediately.
IMS naturally restores overall function by desensitizing super sensitive structures through needling. The process is painless for most cases and unlike medication, absolutely no dangerous after effects.
1. Targets stretch receptors in your muscle, resulting in an immediate relaxation of the muscle.
2. Causes a microtrauma in the muscle which brings blood to the area and helps it heal - faster.
3. Stimulates proper electrical current flow through the nerve, further helping it to heal.
The result: an immediate reduction of muscle spasm, skin and joint pain, and increase in joint range.
We accept most coverage types (WCB, MVA and private insurance) and direct bill most of the extended health insurance providers. We’re happy to show you how to optimize your coverage so you can pay next to nothing for your recovery or with minimal out-of-pocket fees (often 80-100% of the fees are covered).
The length of your IMS therapy session will vary by the type of condition. Typically treatment is quick, as it only takes 30-45 minutes to provide treatment that effectively targets your pain.
We are open Monday through Saturday, so you can book a convenient time and easily fit your treatments in your busy schedule. Early morning and evening appointments are available, making it easier for you to slot in your sessions anytime before, during, or after work.

How does IMS work?
IMS releases tight muscle and relive pressure on tendons, joints and nerves byinserting fine needles into the muscle. This activates the muscle's reflexes leading to relaxation, better blood circulation and restoration of normal function.
Both use fine needles. Acupuncture’s needle placement is define according to Eastern Medicine principles while IMS’ core philosophies lies on understanding of the human anatomy and neurology. The process of IMS works to diagnose and treat the pain from its neuropathic origin.
I’ve had acupuncture before. How will this be different?
The number of treatments required depends on an individual’s condition. Generally, if the pain or injury is recent, it may only need 2 therapy sessions. Factors like age and general health status may affect the length of treatment too.Typically IMS therapy is performed once every 2 weeks.
How many treatments do I need?
Upon treatment, tiny aching sensation might be felt when the needle is inserted into the affected muscles. The treatments are fairly short and for most cases, it is generally painless afterward but some patients may experience soreness for a day or two after their therapy.
Is it going to be painful?

From the front staff to the back I met only friendly people who went out of their way to make this a great experience. I appreciated Blair's great care and skill to get my body lined up properly again followed by an excellent massage by Paul. Thank you!
Shelby is amazing and the had a great bedside manner. She knows what she is doing and comes up with multiple ways to fix your problem. I would definitely recommend her if you are looking for a physiotherapist.
I have been going to the Beddington location, since my surgery, and have high praise for the physiotherapist I have seen there. In particular Blake and Shelby. They are not only helpful but caring as well.
Nose Creek Physiotherapy is one of the best physiotherapy places I have ever been too. Grace Is an amazing therapist and will always go the extra mile to ensure that your issue is resolved or livable. I have rheumatoid arthritis, had elbow surgery, and hurt my back this year and she has helped me every step of the way. The office staff is very friendly and helpful and will always smile and greet you by name. Can’t recommend this place enough!
I have nothing but good things to say. I have been to Nose Creek several times over the past 5-10 years but most recently worked with both Christine and Blair over the past 4 months after ACL reconstruction surgery. Both were amazing and seemed at times to be even more motivated than I was for getting me back to full activity. Would not hesitate to recommend Nose Creek Physio to anyone.
The staff is super friendly and professional. I loved Theresa. She always greeted me with my name and a smile. She is an amazing front desk staff. Grace, my therapist, was amazing too. She always took the time to listen to my concerns and worked with my issue areas. It is a small clinic but worth going to.
I had terrible leg pains that started during the night a few months ago and was at the point where I couldn't sleep properly. The front desk staff were so helpful and they made everything so easy for me. Grace was extremely knowledgeable and kind. She helped me treat my symptoms and strengthen my core as well as help to increase my range of flexibility. Thank you to Grace and the staff! I would recommend Nose Creek Physiotherapy.
I recently had both knees replaced and went in to see Blair at Nose Creek. Blair has such a positive attitude and his knowledge really makes you feel like your recovery will be successful. I came in one day with a sore back and he treated that too, he truly cares about your whole well being. I would not hesitate to recommend Blair for your physio treatment to get you back on the road of good health.
I've been there for two car accidents and one sports injury, and every time I'm impressed by how fast I recover with their help. They know their stuff! And they're very friendly. Although they're a bit far from home, I'll always prefer to go here, and I'll recommend them to anyone.
